As Introducing Brokers (IB) we offer our services to final users, to the people making the forex or the futures trades. We are proud of having a direct relationship with our clients, while we delegate trade execution to multiple Futures Commission Merchants (FCM) and Forex Dealer Merchants (FDM). These different forms of specialization are beneficial for investors and for all parties involved, allowing us to focus on the needs of the individuals and companies making up our clientele, while FCM/FDMs aim their attention at trading operations.
Some traders are reluctant to use an IB, because they think they are going through a middleman. Actually IBs and FCMs/FDMs are complementary, and there are several reasons why traders should open their accounts with a large and solid IB, member of the National Futures Association and regulated by CFTC.
Even if you use the most advanced trading technologies, a number of things can go wrong with your trading, and it’s well known that the best FCMs make occasional mistakes, now and then. Should necessity arise, would you want to contact one of their overworked ground-level customer service representatives as an individual trader or have all the support of your introducing brokers behind you? An established IB contacts high-level executives at the FCMs/FDMs to which their clients are first introduced, and then represented for all their needs. An IB speaks loud enough, with the voice of the hundreds or even the thousands of traders it represents, and will support you claims, if well-founded.
A good IB will also be there to assist you with your everyday questions and it will make a number of tutorials and trading educational opportunities available to its clients free of charge. You’ll receive links to videos illustrating useful features of the platform you are using; you’ll be able to register for webinars held at a time that’s convenient for you; above all, you’ll have access to professional licensed brokers and support staff members, who’ll be happy to answer your questions and offer solutions. Being independent from FDMs, never playing the role of market makers under any circumstances, therefore never having a conflict of interest with our traders, we are perfectly placed to select a range of high-quality offers that meet the unique needs of each investor.
